Courtney Seyl graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2017 with her B.A. in Theatre Arts and a minor in English. In the summer of 2018, she completed a 6 week training program with the Intiman Emerging Artists Program, where she focused on directing original solo work.
In February of 2020 she premiered Act 2 of her first full length play, REVOLUTION, with FEAST Performance series. She plans to mount a staged reading later this year.
Past works include directing Something Unknown for the Strawberry One-Act Festival; assistant directing Aftershocks in NY Winterfest, directing No Exit and Laughing Wild with her company, Red Leather Theatre co; directing The Pillowman and This is Our Youth at the University of Puget Sound; dramaturging Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play; and Stage Managing for NY Winterfest and the Strawberry Theatre Festival.
